Nokia E61: 3G Quad-band Smart Phone

The slim Nokia ᬱ is a 3G quad-band smart phone. The device has an all metallic finish and has a user-friendly interface alongwith a five-way joystick. It also has an MP 3 Music Player, Voice Recorder, Gallery and RealOne video player applications. Its keyboard automatically changes its mode according to the applications. For example, on the standby screen, the keyboard automatically sets to the numeric mode so that you can dial numbers directly just like a conventional numeric keypad.
The device is equipped with a large touch-sensitive QWERTY keyboard. It has a 2.8 ” TFT-LCD display that can display upto 16 million colours with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The device has 64 MB of shared memory and 75 MB of free internal memory which can be expanded further by using a 2GB microSD memory card. The device supports Bluetooth 1.2 and offers several profiles like BIP-ImagePush, DUN-GW, HandsFree-AG OPP-Client. The device is equipped with a Symbian 9.1 operating system.
The smartphone supports USB mass storage, which means that you can exchange the device’s data with your PC. The device also has a built-in Wireless LAN (WiFi) connectivity which has a transmission speed of upto 54 Mbit/s. The ᬱ connects easily with wireless networks. It searches for available networks and automatically connects to an open network. You will be asked to enter login data and/or encryption key if the network has restricted access. You may store the same as an access point setting to automatically login next time.
The smartphone has a slimmer lower end which makes it easy to hold. It has built-in support for Internet telephony.The device supports POP3 and IMAP4 email accounts that allow you automatic email retrieval. It weighs 144 gm and measures 117 x 69.7 x 14 mm. The device has a standard Li-Po 1500 mAh (BP-5L) battery that has talktime of upto 7 hrs. and a standby time of upto 260 hrs. Its music player generates high-definition stereo sound. The device comes with text to speech message reading feature. Other useful features of the Nokia ᬱ include instant messaging. voice command, voice recording, voice dialling, Push-to-talk and Photocall.
